Some calls of distress came from European capitals so that an end be put immediately to the agony of the Polisario Sahrawi dissident, forbidden, by Algiers authority and the leadership of the separatist movement, to enter Tindouf camps. Last Wednesday, in parallel to a letter addressed to the European bodies by the Internal group supporting Mustapha Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, many non governmental organizations in Spain have reiterated their entire support and solidarity with Mustafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud and claimed that his rights may be given to him so that he may join his family in Tindouf camps on the Algerian territory. The representatives of these associations have taken the occasion of the first anniversary of the kidnapping of Mustafa Salma by the Polisario militia on the 21st September, 2010, with the complicity of the Algerian secret services, to raise some questions on the “suspected silence” observed by certain international organizations, which pretend to be defending democracy, freedom of expression and human rights, towards this humanitarian case of Mustafa Salma and his family.

During a press conference which took place in Madrid, the associative militants insisted so that the UN HCR assumes its entire responsibility to find a quick solution for the agony this former Polisario executive is undergoing and to find him a way to join his wife and five children isolated in Tindouf camps. For the president of the Canario Sahara Forum, based in Las Palmas, Miguel Ortiz Asin, “the discriminatory treatment” to which is submitted Mustafa Salma, is “to be condemned from every point of view”. During the press conference taking place in the presence of members of Mustafa Salma’s family, the president of the “Association of Sahrawi women in Spain for democracy and human rights”, Aicha Rahhal, has intervened reproaching to the Spanish media to have deliberately ignored the fair cause of the Sahrawi militant. Taking the floor after her, the president of the association “the voice of the Sahara”, based in the Spanish Basque country (North), Mbarek Ennouhi, while expressing his solidarity with Mustafa Salma and his family in this difficult conditions, has declared to fully share the convictions of Mustafa Salma according to which the Moroccan proposal for autonomy is a realist solution to put an end to the Western Sahara conflict which has too much lasted. Mohamed Cheikh Ould Sidi Mouloud who says not to understand the persistence of the Spanish media to ignore the case of his brother Mustafa Salma, has believed, on his side, that it is up to the international community to put all possible pressure on Algiers and the Polisario, to find a solution to the problem of his brother and allow him to join his family.
Mustafa Salma, she reminded, has undergone the worse forms of torture by the Polisario militia for having simply practised his right to freedom of expression and opinion  before being wrongly “dismissed” from Tindouf camps and kept far from his family. For his father, Ismaili Moulay Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud, the fact of giving his son to the UNHCR delegation in Mauritania does not clear neither Polisario nor Algeria from the responsibility of kidnapping, torturing his son and keeping him away from his family.
