It has been more than thirty three years that the Polisario Front is in conflict against Morocco about the Western Sahara fate without an emergence of a real solution to the problem. The fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, should have put an end to the remaining Marxist-Leninist ideology of the cold war and the West- East confrontations.
But in the Sahara hot sands, the natural course of history has been hustled because of the personal interests of the guerilla leaders and the Masters of Algiers who are convinced that the resolution of the Sahara conflict will run up against their economic interests. Indeed, the dramatic living conditions of the sahraouis in Tindouf camps are a consequence of the refusal by the military junta to open the Algerian economic perimeter fearing the loss of their revenues …
In fact, in spite of several international ONG denunciations of the humanitarian aid diversions by the Polisario Front with the Algerian army complicity, the Sahara conflict still have difficulties making its way into the international scene.
All the south of Europe is tributary of the Algerian gas and would be found in delicate position if it had suddenly protested with vehemence against this established fact.
